I am starting a "Rhythms in Peace" album series which unites musicians from first and third world countries. This album will feature musicians from Israel, Egypt and Morocco as well as amazing guest musicians from USA.

MARLA'S NEW SIGNATURE SERIES FRAME DRUM

I just came back from a week of winter wonderland with the Cooperman Drum Company.
They make the best frame drums around. We were working on creating the Marla Leigh drum, its going to be lightweight, 16" diameter and beautiful...coming out Jan 2008, can't wait to share it with you all. Until then....

incredible Documentary that is being made about Women Drummers!! This film will be dedicated to the late, great Sandy West - founder and Drummer for The Runaways with Joan Jett. Some of the drumming ladies involved in
this project are Terri Lyne Carrington, Michelle
Jacoby, Alessandra Belloni, Valerie Naranjo, Sylvia Cuenca and Pamela Lynn. Allison Sledge is the creator/organizer of this amazing and powerful Documentary.
