Rhythms in Peace
is a landmark, global sound
healing CD and DVD project that
brings together Grammy-winning
artists and other world class
musicians with tribal music
groups from across the globe.
Some proceeds from this project
will go to aid women's sacred
music groups in developing
countries (Morocco and Egypt).
We are currently fundraising for
the first phase of the project
where we will to go to Morocco
in September 2008, to record
with the Houyarites, a trance
healing women's drumming/vocal
group, as well as with Gnawa and
Berber musicians.
There are ways in which you can
support this revolutionary
sacred music project. Fundraiser
concerts are being held all over
the USA, as well as special
tax-deductible Rhythms in Peace
musical gift packages. Please
read on for more information,
thank you.

SUPPORTING GWOMEN'S
EMPOWERMENT
IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES
Picture of the
Houyarites, the women trance-drumming group that
Rhythms in Peace will be working with in
Morocco!!
Women in most Muslim countries today suffer more challenges in their everyday lives than most of us can comprehend. Working with the Moroccan women's trance-music groups
The Houariyates, (Morocco), and the Zar troup from Cairo, Egypt, offers Marla an unique opportunity to support women musicians in Muslim countries.
As part of the global outreach of this project, Marla will share
a percentage
of her one years sales to each group through the Empowerment Works
Micro-grants Program. Marla also hopes to assist both groups to tour in
western countries as well as include them in
drumming
retreats in USA and Morocco.
In support of Rhythms in Peace, you are cordially
invited to Marla's Fundraising Concerts. These concerts
